These flowers feature hand made glass
petals held in by lead within a steel frame.
The flowers have steel centres.
The dark blue one also has a leaf with a caterpillar on it.
The green one also has 2 small steel flowers within its vase.
The vases are made from sheet steel and are either beaten with a
hammer or “tickled” with
a grinder to give an interesting surface finish before being polished and
lacquered. These will work
very well on a window sill due to the light shining through the glass and
giving colourful shadows. The
vases have stones in them to help them remain upright as the flowers have
some weight. Each vase plus flower is approx. 60cm tall.
